The Danish Japanese Connection: Boutique Taeko in Copenhagen

By Helen Russell

Take a pilgrimage to Boutique Taeko to stock up on traditional Japanese porcelain in downtown Copenhagen.

Proprietress Taeko Stokholm says of her two favorite cultures: “Denmark and Japan just fit together – they share an aesthetic that’s very beautiful yet simple.” With glazed pottery in blue and white as well as customary monochrome, this hidden gem is a hotspot for locals after authentic examples of one of Japan’s oldest art forms.
